Five Years and Going Strong: EduBoston Receives Renewed Accreditation from CSIET

Monday, Apr 16, 2018

EduBoston is proud and honored to announce its renewed accreditation with the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET), a not-for-profit organization committed to quality international educational travel and exchange for youth at the high school level.

The accreditation and renewed CSIET Full F-1 Inbound listing confirms EduBoston’s reputation as a provider of safe and reputable educational exchange experiences which are culturally and educationally enriching for all participants.

Indeed, EduBoston’s dedicated and supportive local and international team members strive to continually develop best practices in the areas of international education partnerships, international student support, and in our host family program.

The 2018-2019 school year is EduBoston’s 5th year of accreditation. Specifically, the CSIET accreditation grants EduBoston a full F-1 Inbound Listing for the 2018-2019 Advisory List of International Educational Travel and Exchange Programs. An F-1 visa is issued to international students who are attending an academic program at a U.S. educational institution.

CSIET accreditation, which is a voluntary process, is an important, objective, standards-based assurance of the quality of the EduBoston program. Among those standards are provisions to maintain information privacy for students, schools and participating families, financial stability and transparency, adequate staffing, compliance with local and Federal regulations, and ethical and accurate promotion of services. CSIET also sets high standards for student selection, orientation and training of students and host families, placement of students in schools, and strong vetting and criteria for selection of host families.

EduBoston President Kason Park said, “EduBoston shares the vision and mission of CSIET and remains committed to meeting and exceeding CSIET standards.”
